This dog is not overly watchful and is gentle, noble, sensible, and intelligent.
Temperment:
This breed gets along fine with similar dogs and children. It sometimes has difficulty controlling its hunting instincts around smaller animals.
Coat:
The most common color is a dark blue-grey, although other colors are possible. The coat is rough, medium-length and should not feel wooly.

Regular brushing is required. In addition, the coat may need to be hand-plucked once or twice a year.
