Temperment: Bloodhounds live in harmony with other dogs and household pets, and will greet visitors happily. As long as children do not pester the dog, this breed will also get along well with them. Devoted and protective, the Bloodhound makes a good watchdog.

Coat: This breed has a smooth, short coat. Colors are liver and red, black and red or plain red. A small amount of white on the feet, chest or tip of the tail is acceptable.
