Female English Setters are prone to false pregnancies, this breed is prone to hip dysplasia and should also not be overfed because they gain weight easily. It is important that when contacting a English Setter breeder that you express health concern issues and ask the breeder what they are doing in order to help mimimize them.
Please don't purchase your English Setter from a petstore which commonly are known to support English Setter puppy mills.
