The Alaskan Malamute is part of the Working; Northern group. The Alaskan Malamute is a dog with Above average problem solving abilities. The trainability of the Alaskan Malamute is Above average. It was breed to be good for Family Pet, Sports, The Alaskan Malamute lifestyle is Prefer outdoor living, ready to join in almost any athletic activity; if bored, will express displeasure by howling and digging to the South Pole!
The Alaskan Malamute is susceptible to hip dysplasia, chondrodysplasia and eye problems. It is important that when contacting a Alaskan Malamute breeder that you express health concern issues and ask the breeder what they are doing in order to help mimimize them.

Character:
Affectionate and loyal, but sometimes mischievous.

The outercoat is think and coarse and under-coat is greasy and wooly.
Care
Use a course comb when shedding - otherwise, no grooming is required.
